But aftercare for the impact of ICU admissions is particularly important, which is why former ICU patients, their families, ICU professionals, and scientists have joined forces to form the FCIC Foundation. Volunteers passionately and professionally strive to raise awareness of PICS and PICS-F and advocate for adequate ICU aftercare to minimize the impact of an ICU stay.
