The sole of our MedSocks Sneakers is made of sturdy yet flexible PU (polyurethane), so you can sneak around comfortably all day long. 🙌
The upper part and the inside are made of textile (consisting of 35% cotton and 65% polyester), and feature a fun and unique MedSocks print.
Our sneakers are of course a unique MedSocks design that is not available anywhere else.
In collaboration with the Ehlers-Danlos patient association, we've developed these cool zebra sneakers! Whether you're a patient or not, with these unique sneakers you'll help raise awareness for Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. We're donating 10% of the proceeds to the Ehlers-Danlos patient association .
The zebra stripes come from the fact that people with the
Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and other rare diseases are often called a medical zebra. When we hear hoofbeats, we quickly think of a horse, not a zebra!
In other words, in healthcare we are used to focusing on conditions that are common, and rare conditions are sometimes overlooked.
This means that it can take a long time before patients with Ehler-Danlos syndrome receive the correct diagnosis.
